The Vallis Regia Community Cooperative, a member of Borghiin, the network of community cooperatives in Abruzzo, was founded in 2014 in Barrea, a mountain village located at 1,060 mslm above sea level in the province of L'Aquila, within the Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise National Park. Initially, in collaboration with the municipal administration, we focused on providing services to the community, but today we are also involved in a cultural residency and experiential tourism project.

We manage several apartments in the historic center of Barrea, called Borgo in Casa, dedicated to tourist accommodation; while Casale sul Lago is dedicated to hosting cultural, artistic, and naturalistic activities.

For several years, we have been caring for the community's youngest residents, organizing fun and educational activities and experiential workshops for both schools and resident and guest families.
